Why do the planets sometimes appear to be drawn in the "wrong" houses?

The actual positions of the planets in their correct houses and order around the wheel are indicated by the Tic marks on the inner wheel. However, the algorithm which spaces out the display of planets may draw some planet glyphs and positions in the adjacent house to prevent planets that are bunched up from covering others nearby. This is unavoidable.
